Utah State Flag and Concurrent Resolution 2
After being passed by both the House and the Senate, HCR2, the Utah State Flag Concurrent Resolution,was signed by the Governor. The design of state flag was amended to match the original legislation designating a state flag.
This newly redesigned flag was first raised above the Capitol grounds on March 9, 2011, Utah State Flag Day.
Accurate design of the Utah State Flag which corrects the placement of the year 1847, thus following the description contained in Section 63G-1-501 of the Utah Code. The original colors revealed by Utah State Senate documents are used. This artwork, produced in accordance with Utah House Concurrent Resolution 2 adopted in 2011, also follows the historical precident.
